"How to keep the EU power sector on track to decarbonisation"
The IZT organised a Delphi survey among more than 100 European energy transition experts. The aim was to have the group of international experts assess which factors could jeopardise the decarbonisation of the EU's energy sector by 2030.
As part of an extensive research project ("From Roadmap to Reality"), the European Climate Foundation (ECF) in Brussels wanted to know which risk factors could jeopardise the decarbonisation of the EU's energy sector by 2030. The foundation commissioned the IZT to conduct an elaborate, multi-stage Delphi study on this issue among more than 100 European energy transition experts. The IZT study "How to keep the EU power sector on track to decarbonisation" analysed the risks that could jeopardise the planned decarbonisation of the EU's energy sector. The experts from the various EU countries were asked to assess the risks in detail - in terms of hazard relevance, time horizon and solution level. The client made the study available online for download.
