Appreciation of biodiversity
On 10 September 2024, the final conference of the Bio-Mo-D project will take place under the title "Modernising economic reporting - a way to increase the social appreciation of biodiversity in Germany". The project is funded as part of the Research Initiative for the Conservation of Biodiversity (FEdA) of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Since 2021, the research team, consisting of the Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment (IZT), the Leibniz Institute for Ecological and Regional Development (IÖR) and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), in close co-operation with the practice partners Value Balance Alliance (VBA) and BASF are investigating how corporate and national economic reporting can be expanded to include ecosystem services and biodiversity indicators.
Representatives and stakeholders from business, politics and NGOS are cordially invited to discuss and reflect on the final results. The final programme will be published shortly.
