Method description

Online surveys are an efficient method of data collection in which participants are interviewed via the internet. The methods used utilise closed and open questions to collect a volume of data that can be interpreted using statistical and content analysis tools. The aim is to gain interdisciplinary insights or transdisciplinary perspectives related to the topic under investigation and to test hypotheses derived from a previous qualitative survey.
