The Mobile Elbe Valley cordially invites you to our second future workshop "New paths in the Elbe Valley". Together with representatives from administration, transport companies and other regional stakeholders, we would like to shed light on the challenges, success factors and future development opportunities for on-demand bus and on-demand services in the region.

The morning will focus on sharing experiences of projects that have already been implemented in the districts of the Elbe Valley and discussing new approaches and opportunities for cooperation. We are particularly looking forward to the keynote speech by Benedikt Scheier (DLR, Institute of Transport Systems Technology) on the question: "How efficient is on-demand transport in rural areas?"

  • Where? DeveLUP, Garnisonsstraße 7, 19288 Ludwigslust

After lunch together, the Transport company Ludwigslust-Parchim mbH (VLP) for a visit. VLP has been operating a comprehensive on-call bus system throughout the district since 2018, enabling flexible and needs-based connections to local public transport even in remote locations. For the past four years, bus services have also been converted to electric mobility on a large scale. On site, we gain a direct insight into the implementation and operation of this successful service.

Please note that the number of participants is limited to 30. We will send you the detailed agenda at the beginning of May.
