This continuously growing network has been helping to raise awareness of resource conservation and resource efficiency since 2014: in schools and training, in higher education and further education. In June 2019, the third expansion phase of the network began; at that time, the network already had over 500 members. In the future, the IZT will continue to invite interested education stakeholders to two network conferences per year - these will alternate between Berlin and Hesse (mostly Frankfurt/Main). In this phase of the project, the IZT also supports educational institutions by providing materials for a touring exhibition, a competition entry for Jugend Forscht, advice for environmental education institutions on resource education, and an interactive map on resource education. In addition, two BilRess on-site events are held annually.
