DIGNITY - Digital Transport in and for Society
Mobility - with digital access for all. Development of future-oriented scenarios for the four pilot regions Barcelona (ES) Tilburg (NL), Ancona (IT) and Flanders (B) with the involvement of municipalities, universities, transport companies and mobility providers from six European countries.
The advancing digitalisation of the transport system is not an equally beneficial process for everyone, but brings great challenges for many, for example older people. The EU project DIGNITY has therefore first recorded the different access barriers to digital devices, offers and competences for the mobility sector in several European countries. In the next step, the project partners develop, test and evaluate practical recommendations and prototypes for inclusive digital mobility offers. In Barcelona and three other European pilot regions, the participants are implementing the new approaches. The project partners include municipalities, universities, transport companies and mobility providers. In the project, approaches are implemented in four pilot regions in Europe: Barcelona (ES), Tilburg (NL), Ancona (IT) and Flanders (B). The 13 project partners include municipalities, universities, transport companies and mobility providers from six European countries.
To make DIGNITY's research findings accessible to a wide audience, interactive publishing formats will be created to raise awareness of the social impact of the digital transition and promote the adoption of the DIGNITY approach in other regions.
Work package of the IZT:
IZT's task is to methodically support the process by developing future-oriented scenarios for the four pilot regions. A structured involvement of all stakeholders - local institutions, market participants, interest groups and end users - should help to develop practical applications for the design of an inclusive digital transport ecosystem.
