The interdisciplinary MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on "Climate change and its consequences" was launched in November 2015. This free e-learning programme in the run-up to the Paris Climate Change Conference was organised by WWF Germany and the German Climate Consortium (DKK). German climate science experts reported on the current state of climate science in the MOOC. The project was aimed at students, teachers and anyone else who wanted to find out more in order to be fit for the climate negotiations in Paris. The evaluation by the IZT centred on accompanying surveys among participants to assess the online course, expert interviews and small group discussions to explore selected issues in greater depth. The MOOC was funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
