Evaluation of the project "Support for market surveillance, part 2" as part of the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency (NAPE)
The IZT evaluated the project "Supporting market surveillance, Part 2", which is part of the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency.
Market surveillance authorities in the federal states randomly check whether appliances that carry the energy efficiency label actually have the technical properties specified on the energy label and whether the label is displayed correctly. The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) carried out the project "Support for market surveillance, Part 2" to analyse the test methods and improve them where necessary.
The aim of the BAM project was to increase consumer confidence in the efficiency label. In this way, the Federal Ministry of Economics intended to ultimately reduce energy consumption. The IZT evaluated the project in terms of target achievement, impact and cost-effectiveness. The evaluation took place ex post.
