The state of Berlin wants to reduce waste streams and strengthen the repair and reuse of products. This "zero waste" strategy also includes the initiative to set up and permanently establish a network of repair businesses with secure and fixed quality criteria. The aim of the project was to strengthen the demand for repair services on the one hand and contribute to securing the livelihood of the skilled trades on the other. The IZT analysed the conditions for the implementation of such a network, the requirements of customers and businesses as well as success factors and challenges. The aim of the feasibility study was to derive recommendations and options for action for the establishment of a repair quality community.
