The digital transformation is rapidly and fundamentally changing the world of work and the way work is performed. On the one hand, these changes are opening up new opportunities for personal and entrepreneurial scope, but on the other hand they are calling into question existing demands, achievements and not least guiding principles of occupational safety and health.

The IZT therefore supported the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) in the process of developing a mission statement with a focus on humane work in the digital world. The IZT's tasks included the planning, implementation and evaluation of two workshops to generate theses. The workshops were supplemented by a real-time Delphi survey among selected BAuA employees.
