The "Zero Waste" strategy of the state of Berlin includes the initiative to build up and permanently establish a network of repair businesses with secure and fixed quality criteria. The aim is to strengthen the demand for repair services on the one hand and to contribute to securing the livelihood of the skilled trades on the other. The IZT developed an implementation concept in which the individual necessary work steps are concretised. This included clarifying the tasks of the network, the organisational structures, the technical implementation, the costs incurred and the financing options. The concept was based on a business plan, which serves to provide an overview of key factors such as partners, activities, customer relationships and resources for successful implementation. The potential resource and CO2 savings were also estimated in order to be able to make statements about the environmental impact.
