This project aimed to sensitise young people and young adults in particular to the topic of "green IT". As young consumers can hardly be reached via newspapers and television, they were to be supported with multimedia information at the point of sale - via smartphone, tablet etc. This was one of two IZT projects as part of the National Climate Protection Initiative.

Due to their frequency of use, mobile product information services offer considerable opportunities, which have so far received little attention, to inform younger target groups in particular about energy-efficient products. The project focussed on products from the information and communication technology sector, as electricity consumption in this area has grown rapidly and consumers have so far been less aware of its relevance to the climate.

The aim of the project was to go beyond familiar distribution and information channels for consumer information on climate protection (such as brochures, events or websites on the stationary internet) and design new mobile formats. The starting point was mobile product information services that provided product information at the point of sale on the basis of apps.
