The Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) conducted a future study to identify both key topics and new challenges for its own research in the field of digitalisation and artificial intelligence. The IZT supported the CAIS methodologically with the online survey instrument Real-Time Delphi. This is a tool developed by the IZT itself: The questionnaire is designed in such a way that participants can see a visualisation of the results of all responses received so far immediately after entering closed questions. The participants then had the opportunity to update or revise their own answers on the basis of this information until the end of the field phase. The results of the study were incorporated into considerations for the future research agenda of the CAIS research centre.
