Abstract

Climate change, the depletion of natural resources, globalization,migration: these mega-trends of global change are already deeply impactingour lives. Yet politicians have responded with short-sighted agendasin inverse proportion to the existential importance of the problems. A scientificanalysis of the effects of these trends on the future of humankind isin order-but we must then not only formulate but also carry out strategiesfor tackling the attendant problems.
