Abstract

Berlin is breaking new ground in shaping the future and in sustainability management. With the Berlin Sustainability Profile, the topic of sustainability is brought into focus across existing urban strategies and as a focus of the urban development concept BerlinStrategie 2030. A profile is always a view from the side, at right angles to the strategies, plans and concepts for a variety of topics that shape and further develop Berlin on a daily basis. Building on this, the Berlin Sustainability Profile develops promising - because typical for Berlin - potentials and future talents for sustainability in the city. Identifying these profiling fields and illustrating them with innovative practical approaches is the core of the Berlin Sustainability Profile.
