Abstract

Bioenergy is the chemical energy contained in all organic compounds, in food, in plants and in animal waste.
In this online course, we explain in detail how energy gets into plants, we explain photosynthesis and how animal and plant waste can be used to produce energy. You will be amazed at what can be produced with plants and animal waste and the new technologies.
From biomass power plants to biogas plants, we introduce you to "biofactories" that can generate environmentally friendly electricity and heat. Even cars can be fuelled with biodiesel. Biomass such as wood pellets or chaff is also used to generate heat.
You can find out how to do this in this chapter.
