Abstract

In 2008, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) launched the Energy Efficient City competition, in which the cities of Delitzsch, Essen, Magdeburg, Stuttgart and Wolfhagen were honoured in 2011. They are realising their concepts together with partners from science and practice. This series of publications documents the approaches and results.
This first volume deals with energy efficiency in the building sector. It focuses on obtaining the data basis for assessing energy consumption, evaluating the influence of relevant stakeholders and user behaviour and analysing the impact of energy efficiency measures.
