Abstract

As a decision-support tool in the sense of sustainable development, life cycle assessment is standardised on the one hand, but is subject to constant further development on the other. The proceedings of the fifth Life Cycle Assessment Workshop 2009 include contributions and discussions on topics such as the allocation question, product carbon footprint, issues relating to renewable raw materials such as competition for utilisation and land use - to name just a few.
