Abstract

In the face of crisis trends and the demands for shaping the trans- formation towards sustainable development and socio-cultural change, diverse forms of community formation are increasing. Ecovillages are a common form, which are particularly concerned with sustainable living. In the course of dynamic urbanisation, there are indications that EcoCityVillages could play a positive role in the transformation and should be considered, developed and supported accordingly.
