Abstract

Nobody can really say what the future is anymore. Can this change be described as a loss of utopias? To investigate this question, the Evangelical Academy Mülheim an der Ruhr and the Social Science Institute of the EKD Bochum organised a conference in March 1996 entitled "From the loss of utopias to the loss of the future?" This book is a result of this conference. It contains contributions from the perspective of various disciplines, the social sciences, philosophy, physics, theology and futurology.
