Abstract

"Future and Research" presents the current state of discussion and the broad spectrum of scientific futures research in German-speaking countries. The most important methods and areas of application of this dynamic field of research and action are discussed as well as significant historical achievements and current research results that affect the discipline itself: What are the limits of predictability? How far do the planning, prognostic and probabilistic statements of modern futurology extend? What are the most important social and political challenges of the future?
