Abstract

The project "Holzwende 2020plus", funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, is researching the development of sustainable future markets for the renewable raw material wood in the field of construction and building modernisation. It aims to activate sustainability potentials in the forestry-wood value chain through improved stakeholder cooperation and consumer integration. Within the framework of practical projects, demand-oriented development of the timber market in the construction sector is being addressed for the following key areas: "Regional market development for new construction with wood", "Networks for renovating old buildings with wood", "Material alliances for future markets" and "Virtual SMEs".
