Abstract

The study provides a structured overview of service innovations in the mobility sector and derives theses regarding employment policy implications. After a narrative-scenic introduction in the overall context of an open-minded consideration of possible development challenges of mobility, the socio-political and transport-political context of justification of the project is established. The subsequent driver analysis presents the essential developments and supply-side and demand-side trends in equal measure. On the basis of broad desk research, a detailed examination of new offers, actors and customer segments is carried out. From this, the consequences for employment structures in the sector are derived and finally an evaluation of the results is given within the framework of a transport and innovation policy target matrix as well as concise recommendations regarding sectoral and regional transformation strategies of the mobility sector.
