Intensification of the second-hand goods trade

Abstract
The activities aimed at intensifying the second-hand goods trade and establishing sustainable trading cultures centred on five key questions:
1. which groups of consumers use the second-hand trade with the result that they ultimately own fewer things, and which findings about the groups are important for the development of sustainable trade cultures.
2. what role do second-hand dealers play in getting second-hand goods back on the market from people who are unable to part with used items or for whom selling them is either too costly or too unfamiliar?
3. how can people who would potentially sell more second-hand goods be encouraged to do so by providing relevant information on the positive ecological and social effects of second-hand sales?
