Abstract
The learning unit "Inventory / Photovoltaic Systems" explains the difference between a photovoltaic and a solar thermal system. The structure and functioning of a grid-connected PV system is explained and the installation types and most important system components are presented. In addition, the energy evaluation of a PV system according to the Energy Saving Ordinance is presented.
