Cracking mental path dependencies
Barriers to transformation
Abstract
Fixed ways of thinking and unquestioned basic assumptions lead to mental path dependencies. They make it difficult to understand the need for action and slow down the necessary change in values. Edgar Göll and Jens Clausen also criticise a misunderstood concept of freedom, which is currently being used by liberal circles in particular as an argument against resolutely combating the climate crisis.
