Not everywhere that says sustainability on the outside is actually sustainable on the inside. Results of an online survey on the sustainability commitment of German companies
Abstract
In an online survey, German companies were asked about the importance of sustainability, the reasons for their commitment to sustainability and the instruments used for sustainability management. Although the topic of sustainability is consistently given a high priority, considerable differences between the companies emerge. The analysis provides three significantly different types of companies with regard to their sustainability commitment: sustainability leaders, environmentally oriented and traditional.
