Abstract

The current global development shows worrying fault lines. What was previously conceived in the context of economy and ecology must now be transferred to the overall context of a sustainable human culture, taking into account cultural and peace policy aspects. The contributions summarised in this volume take stock on the one hand, but also point out possible development perspectives on the other.
This volume is intended to honour Udo E. Simonis on the occasion of his 65th birthday. In recent decades, he has made a name for himself as an ecological economist and has repeatedly contributed to the international debate on the balance between the global economy and global ecology
