In: Digital Culture of Sharing. Doing business more sustainably with sharing
Abstract
How high is the number of peer-to-peer sharing platforms in Germany? How are the platforms positioned and in which consumption areas do they operate? This article explores these questions. Based on a database in which all peer-to-peer sharing platforms existing in German-speaking countries were recorded between February 2015 and November 2017, it provides an overview of the market, its structures and the founding activities in recent years.
