Abstract

This anthology is dedicated to the scientific analysis and discussion of political and institutional design options as well as conducive conditions and existing barriers for new forms of governance. In addition to conceptual contributions, concrete requirements and innovative design options for sustainable development in selected governance fields, such as energy, agriculture or education, are presented and discussed. As a result of the synopsis of the individual contributions, essential elements of a governance strategy for a sustainable transformation of society are named and, finally, conditions for their implementation or the design of the transformation process are discussed.
