Abstract
This article gives an overview of the research project "Development of the basics of life cycle assessment of complex products using colour television sets as an example" as well as the possible applications of the computer software Umberto. First, the project, the object of investigation, the procedure and the results achieved are presented, and then the application possibilities and problems of the software are discussed in more detail.
