Abstract

In this online course, we explain how you can heat with sunlight. To do this, you need certain systems called solar collectors.
We explain exactly how they work. Oil and conventional raw materials, which we mainly use for heating, will be used up in the foreseeable future. That is why it is important to be familiar with technologies for utilising solar energy.
Renewable energies will soon be used predominantly, so it is certainly interesting for you to know more about them. To understand how a solar collector works, we will explain absorption and reflection. If we want to use solar energy to produce hot water, we need a heat exchanger. You will also find out what this is in this chapter.
