Abstract
This online course is all about electricity and solar power. How can we utilise the sun's energy? How is solar power generated and how can it be utilised?
We tell you a few things about the physical quantities of electricity, how to describe the current and what is meant by voltage. Are photovoltaics and solar power the same thing? What do satellites and car park ticket machines have in common? Do you know how a solar cell and a photovoltaic system are constructed?
You will gain some insights into the many technical possibilities offered by photovoltaics. We'll tell you all about it in this chapter.
