Abstract

The IZT has drawn up an "Innovation Roadmap" for the northern German business network "foodRegio". This is because companies in the food industry are under pressure to innovate: markets are subject to globalisation. Discounters are squeezing profit margins. At the same time, consumer demand is changing. Faster preparation options, freshness, wellness and regional products are in demand. The roadmap identified cooperative projects and translated them into an innovation roadmap.
