Abstract

After the end of the Red-Green federal government under Chancellor Schröder, the Yearbook takes stock of its environmental policy achievements and failures in a thoroughly critical way. Other focal points are the ecological aspects of modern genetics, the synergies and contradictions of environmental and development policy, and an approach to the modern understanding of nature in all its contradictoriness. One contribution deals with how economists think about nature. With the Stern Report on the costs of climate change, the political discourse on this enters a new phase as of 2006
