Abstract

In this book, experts from different disciplines deal with the topic of traffic telematics, which has also received a great deal of public attention. This interdisciplinary approach was deliberately chosen in order to present as broad an opinion as possible and to contribute to the objectification of the subject. The focus is on the options for action and the potential of telematics to relieve the traffic networks. Current technologies are presented and examined in field tests for their possible contributions to solutions. This anthology presents current approaches to transport telematics with the aim of contributing to a more objective discussion in politics, science and society.
