Abstract

If the politicians fail, will the engineers come? After the debacle of the Copenhagen climate conference, large-scale climate manipulation (geoengineering) has gained enormous support. This Yearbook Ecology is dedicated to this fundamental alternative for reducing emissions and adapting to climate change. The pro and con arguments at play are carefully mapped and evaluated. In addition, other current issues are addressed.
