Will we remain sustainable on the way to a trans-industrial society?
In: Politics and Administration on the Way to the Transindustrial Society.
Abstract
Carl Bohret has significantly influenced and shaped the development of modern German political science. The commemorative publication is a guide to the interfaces between political and administrative science and its modern border areas, e.g. legislation, technology, economics and ecology and futurology, which Bohret repeatedly emphasised and explored, right up to the increasingly necessary intersections with technology and the natural sciences. In a total of 38 contributions, renowned scientists and practitioners outline what they believe the future challenges in central areas of society will look like and, above all, how these challenges could be overcome through "border-crossing" thinking and action. In addition to the editors, contributors to the volume include Rudolf Scharping, Klaus von Beyme, Hans-Hermann Hartwick, Kurt Beck, Helmut Klages, Frieder Naschold, Edda Muller, Martin Janicke, Ulrich Karpen, Jurgen Zollner and Ulrich von Alemann.from the contents: Transindustrial society and functional state - State reform and administrative modernisation - Planning, decision-making, consulting - Legislation - Education and training o Crossing borders: Science, technology and politics.
