Abstract

The Rio de Janeiro World Conference on Environment and Development made it clear that a circular economy is a fundamental prerequisite for sustainable development. The high flows of substances, materials and energy caused by human activity and the associated quantities of waste and emissions have long since reached the limits of nature's capacity. It is time to modernise products ecologically and make them recyclable. In this book, representatives from business, society and politics present innovative approaches and new ways for integrative ecological product management.
